He is a graduate of Faith Baptist Bible College where he met his wife Dawn. They were married in her home church in Eldora, IA. in 1996.God has blessed their home with three small boys of their own, Samuel, Levi and Philip. Their family enjoys God's creations and are often found in their garden, mowing the yard or on occasion tenting at a state park.
